The secret to keeping these turkey sliders extra-juicy is mixing in diced cheese with the ground turkey before cooking.

Directions

  1. Divide the Beemster Mild in half. Shred one half and dice the remainder into small ¼-inch cubes.

  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, diced Beemster Mild, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form the turkey mixture into 8 patties.

  3. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers until cooked through, 3–4 min. per side. Reduce the heat to low and top the burgers evenly with shredded Beemster Mild. Cover and cook until cheese melts, 2 min.

  4. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, add avocado flesh and mash with a fork. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Divide avocado mash between the bottom buns. Add a burger patty and top with 1 tbsp salsa and slider top.

Tip: Keep cheese very cold for easy dicing and shredding.

Pairing: Need a cocktail to pair with these cheesy, Mexican-inspired sliders? Try a Moscow mule. The tart lime and ginger beer pair well with the creamy avocado and spicy salsa.
