Save time and cook the mushrooms and peppers in advance. Just reheat in a foil packet on the grill.

Directions

  1. Add oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the peppers and mushrooms until tender, 12–15 min. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. Meanwhile, on a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat, cook the bratwurst covered until cooked through, about 10 min., rotating sausages occasionally.

  3. Place 1 bratwurst in each hotdog bun and top evenly with pepper mixture and Beemster Mustard. If using a grill, place back on the grill and cover for 2 min. to melt cheese. If using a grill pan, place on a baking sheet under the broiler until melted, 2–3 min.

    Pairing: You can’t have brats without a beer. Try a pale ale like a saison for a citrus, hoppy flavor.

  • 4 bratwurst links

  • 4 hotdog buns

  • 1 cup (100g) shredded Beemster Mustard
